We Listen and We Learn
If you require a website,
Your website should not be the mirror or your company's paper based brochure. To design a good website keeping your customers and your company's market position in mind good groundwork is essential and our first stage is to spend time listening and learning about you, your requirements and your customers. We need to understand what makes your customers tick and what makes your company unique.
Finally, we need to understand your aims and objectives and how you wish to apply them online. With careful planning, consideration and recognition of the needs of your visitors we are well on the way to creating a stylish, user-friendly, customer-led website.
These kind of projects are considered as short-term projects and client will be presented with prototype design and structure of the website, first 25% of the total project cost is tied to that stage. On approval of first phase we move forward with further development. Client will be presented with final completed website under development environment and that stage is tied with rest of the payment.
If you require custom software (online or offline)
There are basically two categories of development. Initial project development, from requirement design to construction, to QA, to release. During this period the client is shown the software at pre-determined milestones, and on larger projects, payments are tied to these milestones. The other type of development is ongoing services. This development includes quick reports or tools, tweaks and fixes, and general IT support. Ongoing service involves a lot of phone or face-to-face time with the client. Think of ALPS Technologies as an employee of your office for this sort of service. During the initial project development, you will be interacting with either a software architect or a project manager or a programmer. Generally a project involves a software architect, project manager, and a programmer, or a project manager and a programmer. The client interacts with the project manager, but some meetings involve the programmer directly and for small requests often the programmer can receive them directly. However, there is no predefined way of conducting a project. The client needs to feel comfortable and has a lot of say on how the project is run, if client wishes to participate in that sort of process.
